Beautiful papers. I did use some paper out of these packs, but not much. Some of the cardstock pages have felt and some have foil. These really are beautiful paper packs. There are a total of 10 paper/cardstock packs included.

Tons of miscellaneous papers. I had bought a lot of single paper at Hobby Lobby and stores like that. I have gotten some of my supplies at the Scrapbook Convention in Arlington, Tx. This picture represents only a part of the individual papers.

There really is so much stuff. I got tired of taking pictures. And most of it is used. I did scrapbook with these items. But once I discovered digital, that was it for me. I won’t use it any more. So… It’s been a REALLY long time!

I’m really sorry that it has been so long since I have blogged. I’m not even sure how many people really read my blog. So… I went through a time of does it really matter if I blog or not…. nobody really even reads my ramblings anyway, well, maybe except my mother. I think she reads my blog. And then I thought, well, I told the designers that I CT for that I would put their products on my blog. So that is one reason I should blog. And then it ends up being rather therapeutic. Well anyway… I am sorry to say that I am no longer on the creative team of Roben-Marie Designs. Such a wonderful designer. I wish all the best to her and pray that she gets to feeling better.

Since then, I was accepted to the Creative Teams of Faith Sisters site, for their My Lifetime Story. Here is the introduction for the challenge:

As the year is coming to an end we are busy planning for next year. In 2010 we are going back to the basics of leaving a legacy of faith. This years challenges are all focused on YOU and your lifetime story. When you join us in this challenge you will be creating a mini-autobiography. We are counting down the days till January 6th because we are so stinkin' excited about the My Lifetime Story challenges!!!
Wouldn't you to know what your grandma's favorite toy was as a child, how she felt when she met your grandpa, her favorite scripture and the song that expressed her heart? Your children and grandchildren will have that treasure when you join us in this challenge!
We will start out with your family roots in January and move into your childhood in February. We will continue throughout the year with your teen and adult years as well. The last challenge of the year will be a letter to your future generations or anyone who reads your book.
Each of our stories is important. This is a book that everyone should create about themselves. It will be the most treasured album of your family. As you create this album about your lifetime story you will be leaving YOUR LEGACY OF FAITH. This is an album that can make an impact in your life as you create it, but it will also create a major impact in the lives of your family both now and in future generations. As your children read your story in this scrapbook that YOU created, they will take your stories to heart. Your stories may have more impact on them than even Bible stories, because they are personal and from someone they know and . When friends and neighbors pick up your storybook and look through it you will be witnessing without even saying a word. They will read your lifetime history and discover your of Jesus, and His forgiveness and faithfulness in your life!
The My Lifetime story challenges will begin the first Wednesday in January. A new challenge will be posted each Wednesday all throughout 2010. The last challenge will be posted the last Wednesday of December. Just because the challenge series ends at the end of 2010 doesn't mean your lifetime story album is finished. We will continue to offer periodic challenges to continue your autobiography and keep it current.
Please join us in this year long challenge! Some of these challenges may be layouts you have already completed. That is ok! We need to get these all compiled in your lifetime storybook. Everyone deserves to be the star of their own book, including and most importantly YOU! If you don't put some time aside to create your My Lifetime Story album now, you may never find the time. If something were to happen to you, would your legacy of faith be lost forever? Take action now, join us as we create our lifetime storybooks for the next generation to see the glorious work the Lord can do in the life of a woman that loves God!
Begin thinking about what size album you would like to use for your My Lifetime Story challenge. started hers in an 8x8 but now has decided that she needs more space so is moving up to a 12x12. is doing hers 12x12 also because she knew she had a lot she wanted to fit into this album. What size do you prefer? Start gathering your supplies now so you will be ready to start when we kick off the first challenge January 6th!

I am so excited, I got RAK'd this week at DST. If you don't know about "The Happy Place" at Digi Shop Talk you have to go check it out. So anyway, I saw a posting for Little Angel by HGD by Laurie Ann, I thought what the heck, I'll post a comment and try to win. Well a couple of days later, I got a PM (personal message) with all the info for the Kit. I got so excited and pm'd Laurie Ann back saying thank you, I'm so excited...blah...blah...blah... Anyway, I got to looking back at the old thread and realized that I didn't win at all, but that she had blessed me with it. I had been truly RAK'd (Random Act of Kindness). Oh, I am so honored and blessed. God is so good!!! Thank you Laurie Ann!!! I must say that I love your work and have a bunch of your kits. I am so excited to win this because I had just this past weekend blessed my sister-in-love with brag books for a shower gift. She just had her 4th baby. So awesome. I must say it again... GOD IS SO GOOD!!!! And yes, I am his favorite daughter, but you know what... you are too!!! If He'll do it for me, He'll do it for you.

Can you believe that. Isn't this kit just the cutest baby kit. I saw some real cute pics that had the baby extracted and placed in the nest. I am SO going to do that. When I get some of the pages finished, I will post them. AND possibly give them away, I have to ask Laurie Ann if that is ok.

I found a new forum over at Creative Victorian Designs. WOW!!! Lonetta has some beeaaauutiful kits in her shop. So I decided to play along in their forum. They have some really good challenges. I was really challenged, and I guess, isn’t that the point. Here are the pages I have made so far.

I made this page for the scraplift challenge.

You can look over in the forum’s for the pages we could choose from to scraplift. I think I did a good job.

This was my entry for the Quote challenge. The quote is “Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but… by the moments that take our breath away. ~Unknown~”

Boy that trip sure took our breath away. Not only was it one of the funnest things, but that day it was also like 40*, raining and dang cold. But you know, I wouldn’t not do that day. I would totally go and do it all again, except for dropping my phone off the bridge at the gorge. Yeah, that I wouldn’t do again.

And here is my entry for the Color challenge. The colors were Brown and Green. This page was challenging for me. Stretched me a bit. Whew. I think it turned out real good though.

David took this picture of the Toltec Gorge. What a train ride that was. This following page is a collaboration of pictures that were taken the day we rode the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad. Man that was one beautiful trip, let me tell you.

They have restored 4 old 1800’s steam engines. It was so fun. Boy Preston was in train heaven. Look the coal tender. Look the water tower. Look the freight car. Look this…. Look that…. He had everyone impressed. Thank you very much Thomas the Tank Engine shows. I guess you could say that Preston has been paying attention.

Back to School Time…

I had been sitting on this picture of Ty for a while and it was the first one to pop into my head when I saw the paper. So I went with it. Urban Sketch Book is a really fun kit though. Well, looks like I’m gonna have to get a J. O. B. Don’t really want to. I have enjoyed this time at home. Preston and I pretty tight, but anyhow, I got to stay with the first 3 years of his life at least. But it is not all completely bad. Meme got laid off from one of her jobs. She had part time for 2 companies in the same office so she stayed at the same desk. So she got laid off from one of her jobs and will be working out of her home with the other. So my wonderful idea to DH was ~ why doesn’t Meme watch Preston and pick up the other 2 after school. I am younger and its easier for me to work. Not to mention that sometimes I am bored almost to tears at home. After a while it really does start to feel like a prison. You can only clean so much before quite frankly my dear, I just dont give a damn. So, hi ho, hi ho, its off to search for a job I go.

Oh… Oh… I finally got our rafting pics from this summer. OMG!!! Check this out. It was SOOOOOOOO FUN!!!!

So I’ve been doing some thinking….

I know… I know…. I did not catch the house on fire. I did not spontaneously combust or anything like that. What I’ve been thinking about is journaling. I went to one of the forums, can’t exactly recall which one right at this second. But one of the threads they had in the forum is about journaling. The whole point was to ask a question and get you thinking. Like “What was your first childhood memory?” or “Where do you like to go with your dad and why?”, “What is your favorite food and why?” See its got you thinking too. When we were at Mom and Dad’s this summer I loaded a Creative Keepsakes journaling program onto my computer to try to help push me along in the journaling process. I think this might even be good for just everyday journaling. Just some prompts to get cha goin’.

So here goes: 1st question is (drum roll please): Tell me about your dream home. (Oh, thats a good one, Derrick and I have been talking about this for a while. Dream building!) What does it look like? How big is it? How many bedrooms? Where is it located? What color is it? What style is it? What is your favorite feature of this house? What is your favorite room in this house? Is it old or new?

That gives you something to think about. Hmmmm…. Let me know if you journaled about that.

Willard has been in NM all summer. It sure has been quiet without him here. And I must add that the laundry pile is not near as big. I did not know that 1 person made such a difference, but it does. We are meeting the WHOLE, well almost whole family in Northern NM to ride the train. Can hardly wait. Wooo! Wooo! Can hardly wait to see what Preston thinks about that.

Speaking of Preston, TODAY is his 3rd birthday. Happy Birthday Preston. Gosh, it is so hard to believe he is already 3. He is such a good boy and really smart too. The other night we had already put him to bed and his habit is to say. “I want a drink of water.” He will just keep at it until you get up and get him a drink of water. Well Derrick was back in our room reading and Preston was calling daddy. “Daddy come here. Daddy I said come here!” Out of the mouth of babes right…. Anyhow, Derrick out of frustration gets up, to give him a friendly tap on the rear to reiterate his need to go to bed. Well when Derrick walks in the room and turns on the light, Preston is sitting strait up in bed holding out his thumb like a hitchhiker and says “bugger”. I asked Derrick what he did with that after I picked myself up off the floor from laughing. He said “I wiped the bugger off and told him to lay down and go to sleep.”

Opening presents is serious business, ya’ll. I don’t think the look on his face hardly changed at all. All business!!

He’'s a Thomas the Tank Engine FREAK!!!! Still, after like a year and a half or so, he can’t get enough. Loves, loves, loves them. Cousin Dominic checking out the goods. I promise they really did have fun. You couldn’t tell it by their faces though.

This is his bed all made up with his new Thomas bedding. He’s really excited because it has Cranky on it.

We had a really good time. Glad to see Dennis in better spirits.

I had SOOOOOOOO much fun playing with this. I originally had a different picture in mind, but the legs were cut off at the knees and it just wouldn't work. So I looked through my pictures and a plan started to formulate. The castle is Cinderella's Castle at Disney World. (We went there last summer). Willard was running down a hill last summer and my Brother-in-love David took the picture of him. Abby and Preston were playing in the front yard just a couple of days ago. So all in all, I think it worked out terrific. This is one of my favorite pages that I have made so far. I think it is so cool. I love these fairy tale, almost real life scrapbook pages.

It really is an exciting day. I got accepted to another creative team. I am so excited Woooo Hooo!!! This lovely lady's name is AshleyMeek, her blog is Scrap Like Mad. She is such a creative person. She says that she hasn't been a designer for very long, but from the looks of her stuff, you wouldn't be able to tell.

Mom is also coming today, she is on her way. And she should have been here by now, but her flight got cancelled in El Paso, so she is stuck at the airport for a little while. O well, gives me more time to strighten up the house. If you don't have kids, well let me tell you they are like F5 tornado's coming through your house. You have have it all nice and tidy, and then the kids get home. And like in 5 minutes, all that hard work you did is, well its buried under school books, candy wrappers or whatever else it is that they drag in with them. O well, I love my kids, I just make them help me clean it up. So anyway, this afternoon, I am doing some Crisis Cleaning. Check out Fly Lady for info on that. Suffice it to say her program works great, if you stick with it and dont get addicted to digital scrapbooking.... ;)

Anyhow, back to Mom. We are going to the Great American Scrapbook Convention. Ahhhh, heaven. I am real curious to see what they have in the way of digital scrapbooking. Better take bank though, cuz there is so much stuff, one could go wild if you wanted to.

And then, on Saturday, we are going to a George Straight concert at the new Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, I am so excited. Thank you Marcus!!!! :)

Oh this summer is getting off to a great start, starting with Mom getting delayed. (Gives me more time to clean the house.... ;) )

Oh, I went fishing with my wonderful Hubby and Father-in-love this Sunday and I kicked butt!!!! Took names!!! Yep, kicked those experienced fishermens butts!!! Ha. Caught a 5 1/2 pounder, Derrick said she looked closer to 6 pounds, I thought about 7 or 8, evangelasically speaking..... LOL!! The funny thing about it was I didn't even fish that much. It was hot so I fished a little at the start, took a swim, sunbathed and read, then about 30 minutes or so before we left, I figured I should pick up my rod again and fish. Caught 2 in a row! Boo Yah!! This one is the bragger though. LOVE IT!!!

Well, I better get back to it.

Well, I finally got some scrapbook pages done. I figured I would post here first then head on over to a couple of galleries and post there. I can't remeber if I told you or not, but I have been selected to be on the creative team of a couple of wonderful designers. Here is the page that I did with Designs By Ashlie's kit My Son is Star. And my girl, Robyn, I used her kit called Rainbow Spring. This is a real neat kit also, packed full of Spring/Summer elements and some very cool papers. Well, I am officially up and running. Of course this is a work in progress and hopefully it will get better as time goes on and I figure more of this stuff out. Who knows where the Lord will take me in this. I'm glad to be here though.
